For Eugen, perfume is an art form—an expression of creativity, passion and beauty.

In 2015, this lifelong love inspired Eugen to launch the YouTube channel U Smells Good, where he discusses his favorite perfumes and brands with likeminded enthusiasts across the world. Today, Eugen has amassed over 10,000 loyal subscribers and more than 2 million video views.

Eugen’s place in the world of social media is unique—his bias has always been towards perfume that is timeless, elegant, complex...those bygone days when high quality materials, in the hands of skilled perfumers, were transformed into scents that had the power to make time stand still.

Recognizing that the commercial realities of modern perfumery was far different from the old ways, Eugen decided to lead the change he wanted to see, and thus, Les Abstraits was born.
